This AZO real photo postcard was mailed in July 1915 and features the same woman we saw in the RPPC featured on Papergreat on June 13. Her name is Lena and her husband is Oscar, who wrote this postcard. Here are the two images of Lena side by side.
This card was postmarked at 7 p.m. on July 31, 1915, in Stover, Missouri. Like the other card, it was sent to Mr. E.A. Zeidler of Klemme, Iowa. The note states:
"Stover Mo. July 30, '15Discussion question: Who sends a picture of their wife as a postcard to their brother?
Dear Bro: — I really should write you a letter but it seems as thou I am always busy. I will send you a likeness of my better half. It is not a very good picture but the best I have at present. We are all well. Ada and Matilda are here now. Came this morn. We have had some real hot weather — [indecipherable] days, but in general we have had cool weather. With love from all to all.
Oscar"

1. On that date, the Phillies split a doubleheader with the St. Louis Cardinals. The Phillies lost the first game, 2-1, and won the second game, 8-0. The two games took a combined 3 hours, 48 minutes. Among the Phillies playing in both games were Beals Becker, Gavvy Cravath and George Bostic "Possum" Whitted. The Phillies went to the World Series that year, losing to the Boston Red Sox.
