I feel like I was overloaded with great things to read this week! The first couple are definitely a function of my Inner Film Geek, and might not be for everyone. Beyond that, though, there's a little bit of something for everyone.

• The Atlantic: "Google Maps a Japanese Nuclear Ghost Town" by Alan Taylor (haunting photographs)²
• Inhabitat: "19-Year-Old Develops Ocean Cleanup Array That Could Remove 7,250,000 Tons Of Plastic From the World's Oceans" by Timon Singh
• The New York Times: "Mystery Malady Kills More Bees, Heightening Worry on Farms" by Michael Wines (some are starting to point a finger at "a powerful new class of pesticides known as neonicotinoids")
• Collectors Weekly: "Take That, Instagram: The Enduring Allure of Vintage Snapshots" by Hunter Oatman-Stanford (This is certainly a topic that's near to Papergreat's heart. Vernacular photography — I'll admit I didn't know that's what it was called — has been featured plenty on Papergreat, including here, here, here, here, and here.)³
