This month, in addition to my regular posts, I'm going to be sharing some of the covers of my favorite and most interesting books. This one was a Christmas 2011 present from my wonderful wife.
- Title: Andersen's Fairy Tales
- Author: Hans Christian Andersen (translated from the Danish by Carl Siewers)
- Publisher: Charles E. Graham and Co., New York
- Year: Uncertain. Likely between 1880 to 1910.
- Notes: Sadly, there is no indication of who illustrated the front cover. ... The tales included are "The Tinder-box" (a fabulously trippy tale featuring three bizarre dogs), "Little Klaus and Big Klaus," "Little Ida's Flowers," "The Travelling Companion," "The Emperor's New Suit," and "The Steadfast Tin Soldier." ... If you're interested in learning more about Andersen, Ruth Manning-Sanders wrote a biography of him titled "The Story of Hans Andersen: Swan of Denmark."
